6 months

Our sweet girl is now 6 months old, 15 pounds, and 27 inches long. She's still not rolling much, but she's getting close to being able to sit up on her own. She both loves and tolerates her big sister, and she LOVES exploring things. If you hand her something, anything, you'll often find her with a look of concentration on her face, her little tongue sticking out, while she uses her fingers to pat and poke and manipulate things, trying to figure out what they do and how they feel. She brings us all a lot of joy.

She was fascinated by the camera when I took this picture. She's very much in the 'mama's girl' phase right now, both trying and wonderful at the same time. Whenever I return she stops crying and takes my face in her hands, almost like she's saying, "Mommy, I was so sad you were gone!"

This kind of gives you an idea of how long she is, and why she's not rolling as much. Partly because she's happy with whatever she's got with her hands, and partly because I can't leave her on the floor very long without Sister coming in to 'play.' Angie has learned that if you make Delly cry you say you're sorry, but she's still working on the not doing it anymore part.

Wow--she is long! (Isn't funny how we don't start saying "tall" until they are older?) What beautiful girls.
