New Angie Videos: Bathtime and Walking

Here are some fun Angie movies. This bathtime one is just cute, and the second one is proof that she can walk! (For those who get this post by email, you'll have to go to my blog to see these!)

Guess Who's Walking?

Angie started walking unassisted yesterday! She has to be in the mood for it and still prefers to grab my hand, but she can do it. My baby is practically a kid now! Oh, and she's trying to sing the ABC's, too. No joke. She'll say B C when looking at her books and will occasionally throw in a D or something for good measure. It melts my English teacher heart.

Christmastime

We went home to California and Arizona for the holidays (well, Brynn's home anyway). Here are some of the highlights:

My sister Shana got this paper star-shaped lantern that goes over a lightbulb. As you can see, she's thrilled.
Thought I'd throw in a normal picture of her, too.

Uncle Nick and Santa Baby (he's single, ladies)

Angie's best friend, Uncle Jake. Angie had a bout of mommy-only syndrome, but Jake won her over almost immediately.

My sister Hannah, fiance' Steve, and Grandma and Grandpa Stephenson

Fun with cousin Addy Norton (my cousin Brandt's daughter)

"Helping" with Great-Grandpa Howard's pecan harvest (Brynn's grandpa)

"Look at what I have to put up with!"

Four generations: Great-Grandma Stephenson, Mama, Angie, and Grandma Howard

Worn out on Christmas morning

I think Grandpa was more excited than Angie for Christmas morning to come.

Li'l Cowgirl

As usual, two weeks went by like two days, so we're looking forward to March and Hannah's wedding in San Diego. We got to see some of Conrad's family in Phoenix, which we very much enjoyed as well. I wish someone would hurry up and invent teleportation!

10 Months

This picture should sum up our lives right now. One mess after another, and we spend our days "walking" all over the house. New milestones including going down to one nap and quitting nursing. Both her ideas, not mine. I'm loving the freedom that comes with those two developmental leaps, however, and I'm loving the opportunity to watch her discover the world on her own terms.

Finally!

The moment has come that every mommy longs for the moment she finds out she's having a girl: Angie now has enough hair to wear hair bows! She won't leave them in longer than 2 seconds, but it's a triumph nonetheless.

Cause and Effect

This...

and this...

happened because of this...

We took Angie to see Santa this past weekend, and to keep her occupied in line we let her play with some ice in a cup. Right as we were up to take her picture with Santa, she started screaming. We checked her hands, thinking they might be cold, and discovered a tiny piece of ice clenched in her fist. So, we got the classic baby crying/Santa smiling shot, but we aren't sure if that's how they would have been without the ice. Oh well, it was a fun outing anyway.
